Top-Ranked Swimmer in Virginia, Remedy Rule, Chooses Texas

CROZET, Virginia, September 28.  Tonight, Shenandoah Marlins’ Remedy Rule, the top ranked recruit in the State of Virginia by CollegeSwimming.com, elected to become a Texas Longhorn.

Rule is the 35th-ranked recruit in the entire Class of 2015, and has a seriously strong backstroke and butterfly in her arsenal.

Rule, who preps at Western Albemarle High School in Virginia, owns a 1:04.08 in the 100-meter backstroke as well as a 1:56.50 in the 200-yard fly.  She also put up a strong 200-meter fly at the Austin Grand Prix this year with a 2:11.24, definitely giving her an inside look at her future home.

Rule can also expand her range into the distance events with a 4:19.74 in the 400-meter free as well as a 4:48.23 in the 500-yard freestyle event.  She also has a strong 200-yard back with a 1:57.61 to her credit from the Virginia Senior Championships in March.
