CARMEL, Ind., June 29. TOM Burchill resigned as head coach at Carmel High School on June 11, but will continue at the helm of the Carmel Swim Club. Carmel High is a national power.
"It's not necessarily uncommon for a coach to move around in the world of swimming," CHS athletic director Jim Inskeep said in an article in the Indianapolis Star. "In my opinion, we feel like we have a great program and some real top-notch people who are involved in it. I'm not concerned about finding a new coach for that position. The position sells itself."
No timetable has been set on the hiring process to replace Burchill at the high school.
