Tips On How To Prepare Physically, Mentally To Swim Fast Highlights SWIM Section of Swimming World’s September Issue

PHOENIX, Arizona, September 4. THE current installment of The Pool's Edge provides swimmers with a game plan to follow when preparing to swim fast. Referred to as a Rev-Up set, which occurs right after warm-up, this set bridges the transition from going from an easy warm-up to swimming fast.

By following the specifics of the Rev-Up set, swimmers will find the benefits to be gained to be both physical as well as mental. Author Karlyn Pipes-Neilsen provides a small sample of Rev-Up sets she has incorporated into her training over the years.
