Tight Races, Sean Leneave Double, Highlight Final Night of Swimming at Texas Speedo Sectional

SAN ANTONIO, Texas, July 28. FOLLOWING the trend of down-to-the-wire swimming seen across the globe today, the Texas Speedo Sectional has plenty of exciting battles for hardware on the final night of long course meter swimming.

Sean Leneave of The Woodlands Swim Team closed out an incredible meet with two more titles in his pocket. He won the 200 fly in 2:05.87 over Wesley Mullins, 17, of Longhorn Aquatics (2:07.75). Leneave then claimed the 200 IM in 2:07.90 to defeat Clint Hallum of the Dallas Mustangs (2:11.20).

Carly Miller of Rice demonstrated more experience than a swimmer seven years young as Miller touched in 26.97 to secure the women's 50 free title over Maddie Locus, 13, of West Austin Aquatics (27.12). The men's 50 free came down to the touch as Jimmy Feigen, 17, of Wave held off Katy Aquatics' Joshua Bagby, 23.62 to 23.65.

The women's 1500 freestyle witnessed a clash between a pair of 15-year-olds as Erin Sosdian of The Woodlands won in 17:20.42 just ahead of Allison Arnold of the Dallas Mustangs, who finished second in 17:20.86. Wil Singley, 17, of the North Texas Nadadores had an easier go of it in the men's metric mile with a time of 16:22.36. William Norton, 17, of Metroplex Aquatics took second in 16:29.24.
