The Morning Swim Show: Rowdy Gaines Discusses Favorite Race From Olympics, Race for the Oceans Event; John Lohn Discusses Picks for Female Swimmers of the Year

PHOENIX, Arizona, October 8. OLYMPIC gold medalist and NBC announcer Rowdy Gaines and Swimming World Magazine senior writer John Lohn join today's edition of The Morning Swim Show.

Gaines recalls his feelings while watching Jason Lezak and Co. win the men's 400 free relay in Beijing. He said it tops some of the previously memorable relay swims in the Olympics as the best one. Gaines is involved in an upcoming open-water swim called Race for the Oceans, in which he and Aaron Peirsol aim to raise money and awareness to save the planet's oceans.

Lohn is one of about two dozen panelists picking the best swimmers for the Swimming World Magazine annual Swimmers of the Year issue in December. Lohn discusses his picks and why he thinks swimmers such as Kirsty Coventry, Stephanie Rice and Rebecca Adlington were easy picks to make.
