The Morning Swim Show, Oct. 5, 2012: Mark Hill, The Architect of the Michigan Water Carnival

PHOENIX, Arizona, October 5. ON today's edition of The Morning Swim Show Mark Hill talks about the creation of a new event, called the Michigan Water Carnival, and the multiple reasons behind staging such an elaborate affair.

Hill, one of the associate head coaches at Michigan, talks about the evolution of the Michigan Water Carnival, which takes place tomorrow in Ann Arbor, Michigan, from an idea sprouting from head coach Mike Bottom's mind to the planning and eventual execution. The goals, he said, are to bring more people to swimming, make events more exciting and raise money to expand the current natatorium. Hill also discusses the first season of the combined men's and women's teams and the focus on team building and unity is important this season.
