The Morning Swim Show, Nov. 11, 2010: Matt Rankin on Tyler Messerschmidt’s Potential

PHOENIX, Arizona, November 11. MATT Rankin visits The Morning Swim Show a few days after his star swimmer, Tyler Messerschmidt, swam fast at the Arizona high school state championships.

Rankin, a former member of the USA Swimming national team in the butterfly and individual medleys, talks about transferring the training philosophy he grew up with as a swimmer to his current team, the Westside YMCA Silver Fins. Messerschmidt hasn't always conformed to that philosophy, but Rankin talks about his swimmer's potential once he moves to train with Dave Durden at Cal.
