The Morning Swim Show: Michael Phelps Talks About Poker; Kirsty Coventry on Life After Winning Olympic Gold and Her Future Goals

PHOENIX, Arizona, October 22. OLYMPIC gold medalist Kirsty Coventry is the focus of today's edition of The Morning Swim Show.

After a video interview in which Michael Phelps talks about playing poker in Las Vegas with some of the country's best players, host Peter Busch does an in-depth interview with Zimbabwe's Kirsty Coventry, who won gold and three silvers in Beijing. Coventry talks about the experience of winning gold after finishing second three times and what it was like to swim so fast at the meet.

Coventry also talks about her family history in Zimbabwe, and what it feels like to go back there every year. She also talks about the $100,000 she received from the Zimbabwe government for her swims, and what she did with the money.

To further analyze Coventry's place in the sport, Swimming World Magazine senior writer John Lohn talks about Coventry's versatility and her ability branch out into other events and likely succeed in middle-distance freestyle.
