In the news segment, host Peter Busch talks about the news regarding Irish swimmer Andrew Bree's reinstatement onto the Olympic team after he appealed his positive drug test from last month.

Mark Schubert, head coach of the USA national team, talks about the history of drug testing and drug use internationally and in the United States. He also advocates blood tests to detect drug use and a stricter watch over countries admitting to using performance-enhancing drugs not found on the World Anti-Doping Agency's list of banned substances.

Schubert also talks about the USA team's outlook heading into the Olympic Trials. He says the men's team is the best group since the 1976 Olympic team that won all but one event in Montreal. He said the women's team is strong, but probably second in the world behind the Australians.

In Meet Flyer, Busch highlights two major competitions in China this weekend. One of them will select 22 participants for the 10K Olympic swim. The other is the last stop on the FINA Diving World Series.
