The Morning Swim Show, June 13, 2011: Alex Nikitin Details Multnomah Athletic Club’s Storied Past, Bright Present and Future

PHOENIX, Arizona, June 13. TODAY'S edition of The Morning Swim Show looks back at the storied history of the Multnomah Athletic Club, featuring head coach Alex Nikitin.

Nikitin talks about the team's origins in 1909 and its legendary first coach. He also discusses other coaches who have worked at Multnomah and Olympians who have graced the pool deck. The current crop of talented swimmers will be at the Santa Clara International meet this week, and will feature a Finnish breaststroker looking to qualify for the world championships, and a sprinter who works overtime to be faster.
