The Morning Swim Show, July 13, 2010: Thomas Lurz Previews This Week’s Open Water World Championships

PHOENIX, Arizona, July 13. THOMAS Lurz is about to defend his world championship in the 10K open water swim this week in Canada, but before he does, he joins today's edition of The Morning Swim Show to preview the competition.

Though Lurz is seen as the heavy favorite, he knows the field will be tough to beat, especially after looking at results from competitions around the world. He also talks about why he won't pursue a spot on the German Olympic pool swimming team, though he can likely challenge in the 1500 freestyle.
