The Morning Swim Show: Diving Takes Center Stage

PHOENIX, Arizona, February 11. MONDAY'S edition of The Morning Swim Show focuses on the world of diving — but not the type we see in the Olympics or at your local swimming hole.

International Swimming Hall of Fame CEO Bruce Wigo takes us to Palmetto, Fla., and the Manatee County Fair's High Dive Show, where a cast of performers have entertained audiences for decades.

The show begins with an exhibition by two accomplished divers, then turns comical as Dana Kunze is heckled by a passerby who joins in the show.

Monday's segment also features entertainment by resident clown divers, aka the Aquamaniacs.

Kunze talks about the popularity of his show and how he has tried to keep the sport of diving in the public eye through his shows.

Monday's edition ends with an interview with Guiness World Record holder Professor Splash, who has plunged into 12 inches of water from 10.75 meters high, or 35 feet, two inches.
