The Morning Swim Show, Dec. 14, 2010: Tyler Reed on Taking Redshirt Year in Senior Year at Kentucky

PHOENIX, Arizona, December 14. TYLER Reed is doing something unorthodox in his senior year at Kentucky, and on today's edition of The Morning Swim Show he talks about the decision to take a redshirt year.

Reed swam well at the USA Swimming short course nationals, posting fast times in the 100 and 200 freestyles. But he's not going to race the best in the NCAA in March, as he's sitting out a year to wait for his teammates at Kentucky to improve and help field some fast relays, similar to the senior-laden relays Kentucky had at the 2010 championships.
