Texas Senior Circuit: First Night in the Books

COLLEGE STATION, Texas, June 18. THE first night of long course meter swimming at the Texas Senior Circuit meet held at Texas A&M is in the books.

Caroline Kuczynski won the women's 50 fly in 27.76, just touching out Candace Blackman's 27.77. Angela San Juan Cisneros completed the top three in 27.81. Boris Loncaric followed with a 25.34 for the men's 50 fly win. Andrew Wang placed second in 25.46, while Karson Applin wound up third in 25.70.

Therese Svendsen topped the women's 200 back in 2:16.78, while Cammile Adams took second in 2:19.55. Kris Ainsworth touched third in 2:21.26. Bryan Collins grabbed the men's 200 back title in 2:03.33. Aaron Greene took second in 2:05.84, while Omar Enriquez picked up third in 2:07.63.

Hee-Jin Chang snatched the women's 100 free in 56.45, while Blackman earned her second podium of the night with a 56.99 for second. Madeline Locus placed third in 57.72. Balazs Makany claimed the men's 100 free in 50.88. Daxon Hill (51.12) and Dale Rogers (51.51) finished second and third.

Trisha Averill held off Romy Landeck, 2:39.29 to 2:39.73, to win the women's 200 breast title. Catherine Wagner turned in a third-place time of 2:40.40. Matt Lowe dominated the men's 200 breast in 2:17.41. Bryan Snowden finished second in 2:24.17, while Kyle Yu earned third in 2:25.73.

Andie Taylor grabbed the women's 400 free title in 4:15.39, while Adams took second in 4:20.57 for her second podium of the night. Locus also snared her second podium with a third-place 4:24.61.

Michael Klueh cleared 4:00 to win the men's 400 free in 3:58.29. Eegan Groome touched second in 4:03.55, while Enriquez placed third in 4:06.19 for his second podium of the evening.
