Texan Victoria Hunt has given her verbal commitment to the University of Cincinnati. Hunt is a senior at Academy of Science and Technology at Woodlands College Park High School where she is also a captain of that team. She is also a captain for her club team, the Woodlands Swim Team.

Hunt is a two time USA Swimming Scholastic All-American who has recorded Winter Junior Nationals cuts in the 100 and 200 breaststroke events. She has made her mark in the 100 yard distance. At the 2016 UIL 6A State Championships Hunt took home the 100 breaststroke title. She holds her high school’s record in that event. She holds the Woodlands Swim Team 15-16 girls record in the 100 and 200 breaststroke.

Her best times are:

  • 50 Breast 30.31
  • 100 Breast 1:03.88
  • 200 Breast 2:17.41

The Cincinnati Women were fourth at the American Athletic Conference Championship last year, finishing only 18 points behind the University of Houston. Hunt will bring valuable points to the team. Her best 200 breaststroke would have earned her an A final swim last year. In the 100 she would have been a B finalist. She’ll have a year to train alongside Vendela Norman, Kennedy Herbert, and Monika Pikhartova and two years with Carlie Perretta, Pakawadee Sopapong. All of those swimmers are returning conference scorers in the breaststroke events.

Hunt shared,

“Beyond blessed to announce my verbal commitment to continue my education and swimming career at the University of Cincinnati! I’d like to send a HUGE thank you to all my family, friends, and coaches who helped me get to this point! Can’t wait to see what God has in store for the next chapter of my life! Super excited to be a Bearcat!”
