CHARLOTTE, North Carolina, October 1. North Mecklenburg’s Emily Allen, the 24th-ranked swimmer in the entire Class of 2015 by CollegeSwimming.com, has committed to the Tennessee Lady Volunteers.

Allen, the third-ranked swimmer in the swimming-heavy State of North Carolina, is a sprint freestyle talent who preps at William Amos Hough High School.

The Junior Pan Pacific Championships team member holds a strong 50-100-200-yard freestyle set with a 22.75, 48.73 and 1:46.78 to her credit on her resume.  The 100 and 200 were at the 2012 Winter Junior Nationals, while she popped her 50 free at Zones.

Allen also has an impressive long course game with a 26.06, 56.37 and 1:59.35 from this past summer, including her 100 from Junior Pan Pacs.

She also has some versatility with a 29.55 50-meter back that should be nice alongside recent Tennessee commit Maddy Banic on UT’s medley relays.
