Taylor Wohrley Doubles Up During First Night of Oklahoma City Speedo Sectional

OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma, July 19. TAYLOR Wohrley, 15, representing Clayton Shaw Park (CSP) Swimming, captured a pair of titles during the first night of long course meter competition at the Oklahoma City Speedo Sectional.

Wohrley opened the night with an exciting win in the 100 free over Hannah Kinder, 17, of the Gator Swim Team, 57.60 to 57.67, before coming back with a bookend victory in the last event of the night, the 200 back (2:18.91.

Liz Smith of Parkway cruised home with a five-and-a-half second triumph in the 200 breast in 2:31.70, while Colleen Gordon of Missouri Swimming won the 800 free in 8:58.23.

On the men's side of the meet, Bennett Clark of Missouri Swimming touched out CSP's Scott Jostes in the 100 free, 52.06 to 52.34, while Stephen Schranck of Heat Swimming won a close battle with Tsunami's Chris Novak in the 200 breast, 2:26.70 to 2:26.79.

The 200 back had a bit more breathing room during the finish, but not much as Jake Hoffmann of Missouri Swimming beat Wichita's Ryan Sellers, 16, 2:08.00 to 2:08.78. Meanwhile, CSP's Daniel Miller, 15, claimed the 800 free title in 8:32.03.
