Sydney Lautenslager has given her verbal commitment to Siena College. She swims for Victor Swim Club in New York. Lautenslager is a co-captain of the team and has been with the club since she was a 10 and under. For Victor Swim Club, she has been a relay contributor at Speedo Sectionals as well as a Niagara LSC multiple event finalist.

Her best times are:

  • 500 Free 5:20.15
  • 1000 Free 10:59.48
  • 1650 Free 18:07.92
  • 200 Back 2:15.30
  • 400 IM 4:50.25

She shared with Swimming World, “Right when I walked on campus I got this feeling and I knew it was the perfect place for me.”

The Siena Saints women’s team is coming off a 5th place finish at the 2016 MAAC Championships. Lautenslager will add much needed depth to the Saints middle distance and distance freestyle events. In the 1650 she would have finished 11th at last year’s conference championships. Marist took the top five spots in the event, and the Saints were led by freshman Emma Rupert (17:58.93) in ninth. The two will have two years together and be great training partners. She’d also be a 500 freestyle B finalist.
