Switzerland Summer Long Course Championships: Day Two in the Books

TENERO, Switzerland, July 2. THE Switzerland Summer Long Course Championships continued with a second day of swimming.

Erik Van Dooren captured the men's 100 free in 50.35. Artyom Machekin finished second in 51.72, while Duncan Jacot-Descombes placed third in 51.84. Julia Hassler nabbed the women's 400 free title in 4:19.64, while Martina van Berkel finished second in 4:22.12. Annick van Westendorp wound up third in 4:23.44.

Lukas Rauftlin clocked a 2:07.87 to win the men's 200 IM. Flavio De Corso placed second in 2:09.92, while Kilian Bossard finished third in 2:11.03. Maria Ugolkova posted a 2:17.58 for the win in the women's 200 IM. Marina Ribi (2:20.57) and Danielle Villars (2:22.48) finished second and third.

Martin Schweizer sprinted to 28.59 in the men's 50 breast for the victory. Yannick Kaser took second in 29.34, while Valerio Romagnoli earned third in 30.50. Stephanie Spahn touched out Corinne Meier, 32.61 to 32.82, in the women's 50 breast. Franziska Hugli snagged third in 33.17.

Alexandre Liess clocked a 2:01.78 for the men's 200 fly title. Maximilien Bon (2:03.89) and Nico Van Duijn (2:05.03) completed the podium. Martina van Berkel crushed the women's 200 fly field in 2:12.41, while Hassler finished a distant second in 2:23.68. Van Westendorp took third overall in 2:24.94.

Jonathan Massacand won the men's 50 back in 26.68. Adrien Perez finished second in 27.03, while Rauftlin earned third in 27.19. Laetitia Perez finished first in the women's 50 back with a 30.32. Florence Sigg placed second in 30.40, while Virginia Schumacher took third in 31.22.
