Swimnetwork and Universal Sports to Broadcast the Swimnetwork.com Santa Clara International Grand Prix

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado, June 5. FANS across the country will have the opportunity to see Olympians Michael Phelps, Ryan Lochte, Katie Hoff and Aaron Peirsol in action as Swimnetwork and Universal Sports today announced that they will broadcast the Swimnetwork.com Santa Clara International Grand Prix LIVE on Universal Sports and via webcast on swimnetwork.com.

Swimnetwork.com will provide coverage of prelims and finals on Thursday, June 11, and will carry a LIVE online stream of the Universal Sports broadcast from Friday, June 12 through Sunday, June 14. Additionally, swimnetwork.com will webcast the prelims each day and will also feature on-demand footage of the Friday, Saturday and Sunday night finals as well as behind-the-scenes interviews.

Universal Sports will air footage from the A, B and C finals Friday, June 12 through Sunday, June 14, beginning at 5 p.m. PT. Olympic gold medalist Rowdy Gaines will be the analyst for the broadcast and Ted Robinson will handle the play-by-play duties. For a current list of TV markets that air Universal Sports, click here. The competition will follow the traditional meet schedule of morning prelims and evening finals. The full competition schedule can be found online. Finals begin at 4 p.m. PT on Thursday and at 5 p.m. PT, Friday through Sunday. Prelims begin at 9 a.m. PT, Friday through Sunday.

The Swimnetwork.com Santa Clara International Grand Prix marks the culmination of the USA Swimming Grand Prix Series. At the conclusion of the meet, the overall top-scoring swimmer will be awarded a $20,000 grand prize, courtesy of USA Swimming. A leaderboard can be found online at www.usaswimming.org. This is the 42nd year that the Santa Clara International Grand Prix has taken place.
