SwimmingWorldMagazine.com Weekly Channel Recap: May 26, 2007
PHOENIX, Arizona, May 26. NEWS items and commentary on SwimmingWorldMagazine.com continued to keep our audience in tune with the goings-on throughout the world of swimming this past week.
Steven Selthoffer, a European correspondent for Swimming World Magazine kept his hand on the pulse of the anti-doping movement, this time writing about a monumental doping confession within the cycling world. The confession by Bert Dietz has led to the confessions of several of his teammates, including 1996 Tour de France winner Bjarne Riis. Selthoffer will remain vigilant as he keeps our readers abreast of news within the anti-doping community.
Meanwhile, senior writer John Lohn gave his thoughts on various items of interest in his latest premium piece "Thoughts from the Deck." CEO/Publisher Brent Rutemiller also kept busy with a pair of multimedia pieces. He spoke with Ryan Lochte at the latest swim clinic in Chicago as part of SwimmingWorld.TV. Rutemiller also chatted with Frank Busch about technique and training in a Swimming World Radio item.
Additionally, the Swimming World Magazine Cactus Classic kicked off in Tempe and Scottsdale, while the Speedo Grand Challenge also began in Irvine, Calif.
In other news, the NCSA announced an exciting new effort as part of the inaugural All-American meet. Swimming World Magazine will "embed" managing editor Jason Marsteller in the official travel party to Hawaii. This will allow for unprecedented inside coverage of an event.
