SwimmingWorldMagazine.com Weekly Channel Recap: June 2, 2007
PHOENIX, Arizona, June 2. WHILE the week started off in a positive way with the Swimming World Magazine Cactus Classic held in Scottsdale and Tempe, Ariz., the week ended on a rough note with the announcement that Syracuse University is dropping swimming and diving in favor of women's ice hockey.
In other news items, CEO/Publisher Brent Rutemiller put together a SwimmingWorld.TV package with the Western States Clinic in mind. He also spoke with Bob Treffene about physiological thoughts regarding training in a Swimming World Radio interview.
Meanwhile, managing editor Jason Marsteller chatted with NCSA All-American meet organizer Bob Gillett in another Swimming World Radio interview.
Newsmaster intern Brian Savard completed his NCAA Division III recruiting round-up with a look at the women's signees, while SwimmingWorldMagazine.com continued its Promising Seniors-To-Be series.
