PHOENIX, Arizona, January 14. SPORTS Publications International, parent corporation of SwimmingWorld.TV, has announced the hiring of a Producer and Associate Producer for the production of Internet-based video content that will be streamed through SwimmingWorldMagazine.com and embedded in digital versions of Swimming World Magazine.

We are proud to introduce Chuck Mello as the Producer of SwimmingWorld.TV, while Jeff Commings has been hired as an Associate Producer with other marketing responsibilities related to the Swimming World brand and products.

"Chuck and Jeff bring the talent needed to take SwimmingWorld.TV to the next level," Brent Rutemiller, CEO and Publisher of Swimming World, said. "Chuck, with his proven production skills, and Jeff, with his writing and swimming background, are important elements in our goal to provide the best news coverage of aquatics worldwide."

Mello has been in video production for nearly seven years, with previous experience in the broadcast, corporate, documentary, training, event and non-profit production fields.

He has utilized many of the skills he picked up at the New England Institute of Art & Communications in his previous work with former clients such as GMAC Home Services, Hale & Door Law, Spaulding Rehabilitation, American Builder, WEEI, ITW Foilmark, Calder Quartet, DjinMaxx Media, Stoli Vodka, RDW Group, Fuse Ideas, and Essex County Community Foundation.

Commings was a nine-time All-American at the University of Texas and won a bronze medal at the Pan American Games in the 100 breast in 1991. He also competed at the 1992 and 1996 U.S. Olympic Trials, and was a four-time USA Swimming National Team member.

Commings, a former journalist at the Albuquerque Tribune and Arizona Daily Star, transitioned into the Masters swimming circuit and is a Masters world and national record holder in the breaststroke and IM events.
