Swimming World Features Freestyle Distance Workout Card, Breaststroke Pull

PHOENIX, Arizona, January 8. BE sure and check out The Workout Card in the SWIM section of the January issue of Swimming World.

It is authored by Susan Ingraham, who coaches the Masters of South Texas. This month's workout focuses on freestyle distance. Masters swimmers can use these daily workouts to get ready for this year's One Hour Postal Championships this month.

In the Swimming Technique section, "Swimming World's" Technical Advisor, Olympian Glenn Mills, teams with Olympian and world record holder, Brendan Hansen, in presenting a drill for locating the catchpoint in the breaststroke.

If you feel that you are expending your energy pushing water sideways in your breaststroke, the high-elbow pull drill will be of great interest and benefit. Follow Brendan's five stages of the high-elbow pull drill and, overtime, your breaststroke will become more efficient and faster as well.
