Swimming World Competition Roundup

PHOENIX, Arizona, April 18. DURING the past week, the following meet managers took full advantage of uploading recent results to the Swimming World meet results section of the website.

AGE GROUP
BRITISH GAS SURREY AGE GROUP CHAMPIONSHIPS
The British Gas Surrey Age Group Championships came to a close April 7 with the relay events being held that day. The championships were conducted over several weekends from March 2-3 to April 7 at the Surrey Sports Park (long course meters), the Guildford Spectrum (short course meters) and the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre (long course meters).

At the end of the competition, the top five girls teams were: Guildford City (481 points), Woking (206), Elmbridge Phoenix (78), Epsom District (39) and Wandworth (34). Guildford City also claimed the boys team title with 294 points, followed by Woking (127), Croydon Amphibians (120), Wandsworth (115) and Dulwich Dolphins (62).

Age group high-point champions included Daisy Seymour and Jordon McPhail, both of Guildford City (9-year-old); Amelia John, Southwark and Noa Doest, Guildford City (10-year-old); Flora Chung and Ben Rowelt from Guildford City (11-year-old); Anna Maine, Woking and Henry Offin, Leatherhead (12-year-old); Charlotte George, Woking and Jamie Wilks, Leatherhead (13-year-old); and Hazel Ferguson, Woking and Jamie Gillie, Wandsworth (14-year-old).

SATURDAY-SUNDAY MORNING RACES
St. Petersburg Aquatics hosted its Saturday-Sunday morning races April 13-14 at the Northshore Pool in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Spring Open
The Crawley Swimming Club hosted its Spring Open April 13-14 at the K2 Pool in Crawley, West Sussex, England.

The Speedo Open
The Jakarta AquaDragons hosted The Speedo Open April 14 in the Cilandak Pool at the Jakarta (Indonesia) International School.

High-point champions included Nathaniel Handijo and Steffi Sinay, Damai Indah (8 years); Nicolas Subagyo, Jakarta Quatics and Elena Hyre, Damai Indah (9 years); Jamie Jenviphalcul, Jakarta AquaDragons and Vanesa Lorent, Damai Indah (10 years); Parker Hughes, Jakarta AquaDragons and Angela Black, AIS Piranhas (11-12), Arssenio Putra, Almagary and Putri Wijaya, Damai Indah (13-14); and Jee Ooung Hong and Margaret McGuffee, Jakarta AquaDragons (15 and over).
