PHOENIX, Arizona, May 25. DURING the past week, the following meet managers took full advantage of uploading their results to the Swimming World meet results section of the website.

AGE GROUP
15th ANNUAL YSSC COACHES LONG COURSE INVITATIONAL

The Y-Spartaquatics Fightin’ Sea Cucumbers hosted their 15th annual Coaches Invitational May 18-20 in Duncan, S.C.

SYS MEMORIAL MEET

The host Sarasota YMCA Sharks earned all three team titles at their Memorial Meet May 18-20. The meet was contested at the Selby Aquatic Center in Sarasota.

The Sharks racked up a combined total of 2,952.5 points, far ahead of Swim Florida’s 444.5, Brandon Sports and Aquatic Center’s 417, Gulf Coast Swim Team’s 205.5 and Sarasota Tsunami Swim Team’s 166. In the women’s division. Sarasota scored 1,594.5 points. Brandon Sports placed second with 305, followed by Swim Florida (146.5), Sarasota Tsunami (95) and Gulf Coast (75.5). The Sharks’ mens team collected 1,358 points to Swim Florida’s 298, Gulf Coast’s 130, Brandon Sports’ 111 and Lakewood Ranch Lightning’s 83.

CITY OF CANTERBURY OPEN GALA

The City of Canterbury Marlins hosted their Open Gala May 19 at the Kingsmead Leisure Centre in Canterbury.

City of Canterbury swimmers combined for a total 425 points (257 girls, 168 boys) for first in all three divisions. In the combined team race, Dover Lifeguard Swimming Club placed second (201), Thanet Swim Club took third (157), Greenwich Borough Mariners finished fourth (144) and Ashford Town Swimming Club was fifth (104). In the girls competition, Dover was second (120), followed by Ashford (75), Thanet (71) and Greenwich (48). The second- through fifth-place boys teams were Greenwich (96), Thanet (86), Dover (81) and Waves Swimming Club (38).

SJSSSL MOCK MEET

The SJSSSL Mock Meet was held May 19 at the St. John’s Golf and Country Club in St. Augustine, Fla.

LONG COURSE SUPER CIRCUIT 1

The Whitney Point Swim Club hosted the Niagara LSC Super Circuit 1 May 19 in Cortland.

SPA SATURDAY/SUNDAY MEET

St. Petersburg Aquatics hosted its Saturday/Sunday meet May 19-20 in St. Petersburg, Fla.

Tampa Bay Aquatics claimed the combined team title with 3,354.5 points, ahead of St. Petersburg Aquatics’ 1,747.5, Clearwater Aquatis Team’s 1,711, Piranhas YMCA Palm Harbor’s 1,100.5 and Greater Tampa Swimming Association’s 944. Tampa Bay was also first in the women’s and men’s divisions. Tampa Bay’s women scored 1,778.5 points, with Clearwater second (937), Saint Petersburg (822), Greater Tampa (545) and Piranhas (526.5). Tampa Bay’s men’s team collected 1,576 points; Saint Petersburg came in second (925.5), followed by Clearwater (774), Piranhas (574) and Greater Tampa (399).

HIGH SCHOOL
COLORADO BOYS HIGH SCHOOL STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS

Colorado boys finished their high school season with the state championships, held in two divisions May 18-19.

The San Diego section of the California Interscholastic Federation held its high school championships May 16-20 in San Diego, Calif.
