SwimAtlanta’s Noland Deas Pledges Verbal Commitment to Alabama
NEW COMMIT: Two time Scholastic All-American Noland Deas has given his verbal commitment to swim for the University of Alabama beginning in the 2018-2019 season. Deas swims for SwimAtlanta and is a senior at Centennial High School in Roswell, Georgia.
Spencer Walker has also given his verbal commitment to the team. The backstroker will dive in alongside Deas next fall.
He is primarily a freestyler who finds his sweet spot in the 200. Deas has best times of:
- 100 Free 46.38
- 200 Free 1:39.92
- 500 Free 4:34.15
- 1000 Free 9:42.68
- 1650 Free 16:16.48
The team’s Laurent Bams (1:34.56 at SECs last year) and Robert Howard (1:35.07) will be seniors when Deas arrives to Tuscaloosa next fall.
Deas told Swimming World,
“I am so incredibly proud to join the Crimson Tide!! The coaching staff, team, and university as a whole are really something special. I want to thank my coaches at Swim Atlanta, my family, and my teammates for helping me get to this point. Can’t wait to join and work with this awesome swim program!!! Roll Tide!!”
Deas is also an Eagle Scout.
