Stephane Gomez, Britta Kamrau-Corestein Win Fourth Stop of FINA Open Water Grand Prix

CAPRI-NAPOLI, Italy, July 7. FRANCE's Stephane Gomez and Germany's Britta Kamrau-Corestein claimed the men's and women's crowns at the fourth stop of the FINA Open Water Swimming Grand Prix event held this weekend in Capri-Napoli, Italy.

The event, which featured prize money upwards of $20,000, was held over a 36K course.

Gomez won the men's race in 7:33:46, while Italy's Rodolfo Valenti placed second in 7:36:33. Gabriel Villagoiz of Argentina finished third in 7:46:21.

Kamrau-Corestein wound up winning the women's race in 7:56:26, while Russia's Natalia Pankina touched second in 8:01:21. Germany's Stefanie Billier wrapped up third in 8:05:45.
