NEW COMMIT: Vanderbilt University has picked up another verbal commitment for the 2022-23 season and beyond from Junior National qualifier Jenna Ravarino of Concord, California.

She will join Caroline Mercer of Louisville, Kentucky, in Nashville as a member of the Commodores’ Class of 2026.

She told Swimming World:

“I am honored and excited to announce my verbal commitment to further my academic and swimming careers at Vanderbilt University. I am looking forward to being part of an outstanding swim program.  Thank you to my family, coaches, friends and teammates for the endless support and help to get me where I am today.”

A talented sprinter, Ravarino does her club swimming with Orinda Aquatics and most recently earned three best times at Roseville Sectionals where she finished 13th in the 50m free and 20th in the 100m free. She also placed fourth and sixth, respectively, in those events at the Arena Grand Challenge this past summer, too.

Her best times include:

  • 50 free – 23.96
  • 100 free – 52.13
  • 100 fly – 57.03

Currently a senior at Carondelet High School, Ravarino raced the 50 free at the CIF North Coast Section Championships during her freshman season.

Ravarino will add valuable depth both individually and on relays to the Dores’ roster, as she would’ve been their fourth-fastest 100 freestyler last season.
