Split Time, June 12, 2010: Mark Schubert Discusses Athlete Partnership Plan

PHOENIX, Arizona, June 12. TODAY'S guest on Split Time is Mark Schubert, head coach of the USA Swimming national team, who will discuss with host Garrett McCaffrey the hot topic of the Athlete Partnership Plan.

Schubert clarifies some aspects of the proposal, like who is eligible, how the athletes are represented, and what likeness and image rights are given up. McCaffrey asks the former NCAA coach how he sees the agreement affecting college swimming, and which athletes should pass up college swimming to take advantage of the full stipend.
