Southern Methodist vs. North Texas

DENTON, Texas, November 5. DELIA Covo set a new North Texas school record with a 269.85 in the three-meter dive as North Texas fell 201-97 to SMU on Friday.

Covo broke her own school record of 262.13 that she set last season.

"Today was a mixed bag," said North Texas Head Coach Joe Dykstra. "We had some outstanding performances today and a lot of things that were frustrating. We had some good stuff, but we were too inconsistent from event to event."

Seabre Pope won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.52, beating Emily Vavourakis of SMU by .06 seconds.

In the 1650-yard freestyle, Dawn Richerson (17:20.73), Angie Dworschack (17:21.88) and Hilary Riedmann (17:36.91) finished 2nd through 4th.

North Texas returns to the pool on December 2nd at the Texas Relays in Austin.
