South American Records Continue to Fall

SAO PAOLO, Brazil, March 16. THE South American record tally is up to nine as four more standards have fallen at the South American Championships held in Sao Paolo.

Fabiola Molina shot down both the 50 and 100 back records with times of 28.45 and 1:01.40.

Meanwhile, Monique Ferreira cleared the 200 free continental standard with a time of 2:00.62.

Additionally, the foursome of Molina, Tatiane Sakemi, Gabriella Silva and Tatiana Lemos posted a time of 4:11.53 to break the 400 medley relay record.
