SMU Classic, Day Two

DALLAS, Texas, January 15. SMU men’s swimmer Tom Cole turned in another dominant performance in the 200-yard breaststroke as the Mustangs closed out the final day of the SMU Classic Saturday night. The senior took first in the event, clocking in with a time of 1:57.75. Friday, Cole earned top honors in the 100-yard breaststroke.

Sophomore Mindaugas Sadauskas also swam well on the night, taking second in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 44.30. The freestyle specialist also swam the third leg of the 200-yard freestyle relay, helping the team to a third place finish (1:21.57).

Michigan won the two-day Classic with a score of 318 points. North Carolina finished second (302), while USC came in third (300).

The Mustangs head to Austin to face Texas and Arizona Jan. 28 and 29.
