Several Israeli National Records Fall at Short Course Championships

ASDOD-YAAKOV, Israel, February 25. OVER the weekend, several Israeli national records fell at the country's Winter Short Course National Championships.

Yulia Benach, 16, claimed a trio of national standards in the 50 (32.46), 100 (1:09.29) and 200 (2:28.61) breaststroke.

Meanwhile, Anna Gostomelski became the first sub-2:00 Israeli woman in the 200 free with a 1:59.85, while Shai Livnat bettered his men's 400 free record with a 3:47.59.

Nimrod Hayat also set three 17-and-under records in the 100 fly (54.29), 200 fly (2:01.21) and 200 IM (2:04.46).
