NEW COMMIT: Seton Hall University has scored another verbal commitment for the 2021-22 season and beyond from in-state freestyler Allie Waggoner of Mount Laurel, N.J.
She will join Mount Joy, Pa. native Claire O’Neill as a member of the Pirates’ Class of 2025.
She told Swimming World:

Waggoner does her club swimming with the Jersey Wahoos and last competed at the Sweetheart meet in February where she earned nine best times and posted six top-10 finishes. In Summer 2019, she was the runner-up in the 1500m free and placed fourth in the 800m free at Middle Atlantic LCM Seniors before going on to take 15th and 11th, respectively, in those events at Geneva Futures.
Her best times include:
- 200 free – 1:55.05
- 500 free – 4:59.07
- 1000 free – 10:15.63
- 1650 free – 17:00.47
Also competing for Moorestown High School, Waggoner is a three-time New Jersey Meet of Champions finalist. She placed ninth in the 500 free as a junior while taking second in that event during her sophomore season and sixth in that racce in her freshman campaign.
Waggoner will make a big impact when she arrives on campus in the fall of 2021. She would’ve scored in the A-final of the 500 free as well as placed third in the mile at the 2020 Big East Championships where Seton Hall finished fourth overall in the team standings.
