The battle for Texas begins this week and it will be one of the most anticipated meets of the year for the men and women.

The defending national champion Texas men are currently ranked No. 5, while the Texas A&M is ranked No. 11.

Meanwhile, it is even a more intriguing women’s matchup as the Longhorns are ranked No. 2 and the Aggies ranked No. 5.

Texas has Claire Adams and Remedy Rule, while the Aggies have Bethany Galat and Lisa Bratton as well as Beryl Gastaldello and Sydney Pickrem. Both teams are loaded with talent. There will definitely be some breakout stars in this meet, too, which makes it all the more exciting.

On Thursday, Tennessee swims at Louisville in a non-conference battle. The Louisville men are ranked No. 13, while the Tennessee men are No. 15. The Lady Volunteers are ranked No. 12, one spot behind No. 11 Louisville, which will make this a huge test for both teams.

On Saturday, Auburn faces South Carolina in an SEC showdown. The Tiger men are ranked No. 9, while the Gamecocks are No. 20. The Auburn women are ranked No. 9 and South Carolina is No. 22.

On Friday and Saturday, Missouri and Kentucky will join Northwestern at Southern Illinois for a two-day meet.

Arkansas will host Nebraska in a non-conference dual on Friday, pitting two teams with potential against each other. These two teams are often overlooked in their own conferences, so this could be an important meet to bring some momentum back to conference duals for both teams. The Razorbacks will then head to Vanderbilt, returning to SEC action on Saturday. It will be a pivotal weekend for Arkansas.

In another non-conference dual, LSU will swim at SMU on Friday.

On Saturday, the No. 20 Florida women will host Florida Gulf Coast.
