SEC Swimming & Diving Championships to Hold No Spectators

The Southeastern Conference announced Tuesday that the teams will be spread out on the deck and in the stands during the swimming and diving championships at the three sites this month. In order to adhere to social distancing for the three meets, spectators will not be allowed for either of the three meets, due to the limited space for all the teams on deck and in the stands.

The action is consistent with COVID-19 management requirements developed by the SEC’s Medical Guidance Task Force.

SEC Swimming & Diving Championships:

  • February 17 – 20: Women’s Swim at the University of Georgia
  • February 17 – 20: Men’s & Women’s Diving at the University of Missouri
  • February 23 – 26: Men’s Swim at the University of Missouri

All sessions of the championships will air live on SEC Network+.

Both sets of championships allow three weeks before the NCAA Championships, to be held at Greensboro Aquatic Center for both men and women. The women are first, March 17-20, with the men to follow, March 24-27.
