Ryosuke Irie Among Japan’s Stars Getting Ready For Asian Games

INCHEON, South Korea, September 18. THE Asian Games are just a few days away, and the Park Tae-Hwan Aquatics Center will be buzzing with several of the world’s best swimmers in what will be the final major long course competition of 2014.

Ryosuke Irie will be one of the major stars of the meet, looking to defend his 2010 titles in the 100 and 200 backstrokes. As you can see in the above photo, he’s all smiles as he gets ready to also improve on his world-leading time in the 200 back and face off against China’s Jiayu Xu for world No. 1 in the 100 back.
