Ryan Lochte Set to Make Acting Debut in Upcoming Funny or Die Video

LONDON, England, August 8. LESS than a week after completing his campaign for medals at the 2012 Olympics, Ryan Lochte is back to work, making his acting debut in an upcoming sketch for the popular online website Funny or Die.

Lochte sent out a photo on his Twitter account Tuesday posing with Star Trek: The Next Generation star Patrick Stewart, Game of Thrones actress Maisie Williams and film actor Simon Pegg, reportedly on the set of the video shoot. The sketch will appear on funnyordie.com. No date for the video's premiere has been announced.

Though he has had a rotation of several commercials in play in the past few weeks, the Funny or Die video would mark Lochte's official acting debut. Funny or Die videos feature celebrities in fictitious situations, often skewering their public or private personalities. Very few athletes have appeared in Funny or Die videos, so Lochte's involvement continues his streak of breaking the mold in the media, going back to his Vogue magazine cover photo.
