Ryan Lochte Lighting Up Prime-Time TV With Cameo on NBC’s 30 Rock

PHOENIX, Arizona, October 16. CONTINUING to shine in the post-Olympic spotlight, Ryan Lochte will make his prime-time acting debut on national television this Thursday. Apparently Lochte will be playing a – excuse our language here, we're just quoting! – “sex idiot” on NBC's 30 Rock.

Written and produced by Saturday Night Live (SNL) alumni Tina Fey, 30 Rock is loosely based around Fey's experience as head writer for SNL, and is know for its tongue-in-cheek humor.

The episode revolves around Alec Baldwin's character, Jack, who has a new love interest. Unfortunately, Jack finds out that he is one of many men in the woman's life. Guess who is another one? Golden boy Lochte, of course. We should mention that Lochte is shirtless the first time he meets Jack in a scene called “Jack meets his lover's lover.”

To promote Lochte's cameo role, NBC released a series of teasers, for the show airing Thursday, October 18 at 8:30/7:30c on NBC.

Here Lochte talks about his role and time on set acting with Alec Baldwin:

Here Tina Fey and Jane Krakowski talk about Lochte on set. Fey even calls the Olympic gold medalist “very funny.”

In further Lochte news, he will appear in a cameo role on the CW's 90210 on October 29, playing a guest in the hotel where two of the main characters visit.
