Robin van Aggele Sets Dutch National Record at Dutch Sprint Championships

DRACHTEN, The Netherlands, June 25. OVER the weekend, Robin van Aggele set the Dutch National Record in the men's 100-meter IM over short course competition with a 53.34 during semifinals of the Dutch Sprint Championships. The meet featured two days of swimming over short distances in Drachten, The Netherlands from June 23-24.

Meanwhile, the Eiffel Swimmers' quartet of Bastiaan Tamminga (25.20), Jeroen van den Berkt (27.80), Ewoud Tamminga (23.90) and Patrick Martens (22.50) set a national record with a time of 1:39.40 in the men's 200 medley relay.

Additionally, five championship records fell as Bastiaan Tamminga clocked a 23.71 in the men's 50 fly and a 25.29 in the men's 50 back, Jolijn van Valkengoed posted a 31.38 in the women's 50 breast, Hinkelien Schreuder hit the wall in 1:01.69 in the women's 100 IM and van Aggele touched in 27.49 in the men's 50 breast.

Also, Willemijn Knot stopped the clock in 28.76 for a National Age Group record for 17 year olds in the women's 50 back, while Jurjen Willemsen set a national junior record with a 25.85 in the men's 50 back.

Other winners included Schreuder in the women's 50 free (25.19), Rudy Ted de Haan in the men's 100 IM (55.67) and the men's 50 free (22.55) and Lenneke van Schaik in the women's 50 fly (27.53).
