NEW COMMIT: Louisiana State University has gotten an incredibly early jump on recruiting the high school class of 2019. State record holder Jolee Liles has given the Tigers a verbal commitment to start swimming for the University beginning in the 2019-2020 season.

Liles swims for Crawfish Aquatics. The Baton Rouge native isn’t a scoring threat yet in any SEC events, but she’s a well rounded swimmer already. With two years of high school and club training remaining, there’s no reason to believe she won’t be a contributor for the Tigers by the time she makes the move to campus.

Her top times are:

  • 200 Free 1:52.69
  • 500 Free 4:53.27
  • 400 IM 4:22.36
  • 200 IM 2:02.96
  • 200 Back 2:01.97

She’s already made a significant impact on the high school scene. Liles attends Parkview Baptist School and began high school swimming as a middle schooler. She’s already a three time state champion in both the 200 IM and the 500 freestyle. She’s also the High School Division III state record holder in the 500 free and the overall high school state record holder in the 200 IM.

Liles isn’t the only swimmer way ahead of the recruiting game. Indiana University has also received a verbal commitment from the Class of 2023, also from an in-state athlete, Emily Weiss.
