Rhi Jeffrey Tacks On Two More U.S. Olympic Trials Cuts in New Zealand

WEST AUCKLAND, New Zealand, January 30. RHI Jeffrey, an Olympic gold medalist as a preliminary relay swimmer for the triumphant U.S. 800 free relay at the 2004 Athens Games, added on two more events to her potential schedule at the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials.

Jeffrey, who already qualified in the women's 50-meter free (26.38) and 100-meter free (57.17) in November, returned with two more qualifying marks at the Antony Mosse Meet held in New Zealand this weekend.

She clocked a time of 2:02.99 in the women's 200 free, clearing the Trials cut of 2:03.19. Meanwhile, she won the women's 100 fly with a time of 1:01.70, to better the 1:01.99 Trials cut. She also won the women's 400 free in 4:22.67, falling short of the 4:19.39 Trials cut.
