Records Tumble at Slovenia Open

KRANJ, Slovenia, December 4. THE Slovenia Open, held in the city of Kranj from Nov. 29 to Dec. 2, boasted a few national-record performances in the short course meet.

Luka Turk paced the meet with a pair of national-record setting swims as he first set the men's 400 freestyle with a time of 3:46.37 on Nov. 29 before returning the following day to set the men's 800 freestyle standard with a time of 7:47.24.

A pair of individual women's records fell on Dec. 2. While University of California-bound Sara Isakovic shot down the women's 100 fly national standard with a time of 59.80, Nina Cesar joined her in the national-record ranks with a time of 16:25.85 in the women's 1500 freestyle.

Finally, the team of Isakovic, Nina Cesar, Maja Cesar and Anja Klinar topped the women's 800 freestyle relay with a record-setting time of 8:09.96.
