Public Service Announcement: Let the Buyer Beware as Beijing Comes Closer

PHOENIX, Arizona, October 8. WITH the 2008 Beijing Olympics coming ever so closer, SwimmingWorldMagazine.com wanted to take time out to warn our readers of various Olympics-related schemes going on throughout the world.

According to Shanghai Daily, as reported here, con artists are hard at work as they use the Olympics as bait. While this report centers on fraud going on in China, everyone worldwide should be keeping their eyes open with a harshly-critical view of anything that might sound too good to be true.

These schemes range from as simple as counterfeit tickets to as complex as trying to use Olympics-related material to induce people into investing in fraudulent companies.

SwimmingWorldMagazine.com just wanted to pass this along to remind everyone Caveat Emptor, "Let the buyer beware."
