The psych sheet for the 2017 Texas Invitational was released today, giving a preview of what looks like to be one of the premier winter college invitationals this NCAA season. Hosted by the University of Texas, the meet will take place Nov. 29-Dec. 2 at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center and will feature both Longhorn teams.

Several top-tier teams will be traveling down to Texas for the meet, including USC, the University of Arizona, Harvard University, the Stanford men’s team, and the Arizona State men’s team among others. You can see a full list of participating teams on the Longhorns athletics page here.

The meet will be a chance for the Longhorn women to shine, with the team going into the meet with a #2 ranking and undefeated in dual meets so far this year. The meet will also be a major indicator for the men’s Texas team, who have only won one dual meet so far this year and was ranked just ninth in the latest CSCAA Coaches Poll despite being the defending NCAA Champions.

Expect a showdown in the men’s 200 free, with three of history’s fastest entered in the event: Texas’ Townley Haas, Arizona State’s Cameron Craig, and Harvard’s Dean Farris. Others to watch will be Texas senior Joseph Schooling, USC junior Riley Scott, and a slew of post-grads competing. Competing among the college swimmers will be Olympians Matt Grevers and Leah Smith in addition to a star studded Texas post-grad group that includes Madisyn Cox, Jack Conger, Will Licon and Clark Smith.
