Pool Preparations Underway for 2017 FINA World Championships
Pool preparations are underway for the upcoming 2017 FINA World Championships, which will be held in Budapest, Hungary this July.
With just over 180 days until the big meet, the pool at the Dagály Aquatics Arena has officially been filled with water. Aquatic events will take place from the 14th-30th of July with a total of 76 medals available between the six aquatic sports.
Construction on the venue is nearing completion and will have a capacity of 20,000 seats. Ticket sales for the 17th FINA World Championships are ongoing, with nearly 34,000 tickets sold since the first of December. Of those 34,000 tickets a total of 21,000 have been sold specifically for the pool swimming competition.
