Poll of the Week: Which USA Olympian Should Have Made a Comeback This Year?

PHOENIX, Arizona, June 15. LET'S stick with the Olympic theme for this week's poll question, and talk specifically about comebacks. A couple of notable American Olympians, Brendan Hansen and Janet Evans, came back to the sport after some time away, and will be racing in Omaha. We wanted to know which of the following four Olympians you think should have also made a comeback? Your choices are Ian Crocker, Gary Hall Jr., Larsen Jensen and Aaron Peirsol. Go to swimmingworldmagazine.com/poll and place your vote. We'll let you know how swimming fans voted on next week's show.

The Olympic Trials starts in a little more than a week, and one of the swimmers everyone will be watching is Dara Torres. The 44-year-old is looking to qualify for her sixth Olympic team, and would be the first American in any sport to do so, and the third swimmer in history to accomplish this feat. She'll swim the 50 freestyle, and we wanted to get your thoughts on Dara's chances at reaching her goal.

75.4 percent believe she will make the team, while 24.5 percent say she won't. We'll find out when the final of the women's 50 free takes off on July 2.
