Katie Ledecky. She owns the 13 fastest times in the 800 meter free. Not to downplay Michael Phelps’s achievements (which are phenomenal), but my vote goes to Katie.

Three things that this Olympic Games will be remembered for (swimming): records of Katie Ledecky, Anthony Ervin and Michael Phelps. Times, age, medals count. All of them are of same longevity – many of us won’t see them broken by somebody else.
