It was an extra exciting morning at day three of the 2017 FINA World Junior Championships as the USA’s Michael Andrew downed not one, but two World Junior Records! The youngest athlete to ever turn pro delivered top showings in both the men’s 50 back and 50 free.

In the women’s 200 back, American’s Regan Smith and Alex Sumner qualified 1-2 with Smith setting a new meet record in the process.

All week, Swimming World chief photographer Peter H. Bick will be on deck capturing the action and excitement in Indianapolis. Visit the 2017 FINA World Junior Championships meet page for full results, recaps, features and more!
